Thanks to their incredible guidance, we secured a wonderful property in just two weeks… Aika and Nik truly went above and beyond – even the real estate agents were surprised to see them attending every house inspection with us.

Questions Buyers Ask
What does a buyers agent do?
A buyers agent acts for you, the buyer, and no one else. We find the property, assess it, negotiate the price and terms, and bid for you at auction if it goes that way.
A selling agent represents the seller and works to get the highest price possible. Both are licensed, but their loyalties lie on opposite sides of the transaction.
How much does a buyers agent cost?
You pay a retainer to start, and it comes off the final fee rather than adding to it. The total depends on the brief, because searching one building and searching three suburbs are different jobs. We quote once we know which one you need, and nothing gets added after that.
Can you just bid for me at auction?
Yes, and you do not need to take the full search service to get it. You set the limit beforehand with the contract already reviewed, and we handle the bidding on the day.
I am buying from interstate and cannot inspect. How does that work?
We inspect for you and walk you through it on video while you watch, so you can ask about the things a photograph hides. You get our assessment of the building and the street, not just the property.
Do you work with investors as well as home buyers?
Yes, and we treat them differently, because they are different purchases. An investor needs to know about yield, letting restrictions and what the exit looks like. A home buyer needs to know whether they will still like the street in five years.
Is a buyers agent the same as a buyers advocate?
Yes. In Australia the two names are used interchangeably. Both mean a licensed professional who acts only for buyers, helping you search, evaluate and negotiate the purchase of your home or investment.
